The Internet and multimedia technologies allow us to engage students in innovative ways. It is our mission to assist faculty members in the implementation of teaching and learning technologies to enhance their instruction with the focus on student engagement and learning.

Academic Technology offers a number of face-to-face, hybrid and online workshops and webinars for faculty which provide the opportunity to actively explore many different types of multimedia software, course management tools and best practices for the online environment.

The workshops typically last from one to three hours and are offered frequently throughout the year. Training workshops also are available upon request at times and locations that are convenient to you. If there is a workshop topic that you would like to see offered, we are always open to suggestions!

Visit our Training Calendar page to register for one of our current workshop offerings.

We offer curriculum design and support consultations (via email, phone, walk-in or appointment) to faculty in the use of teaching and learning applications. We support the Academic Affairs Council (AAC) in the on-going course redesign effort, the curriculum process and assessment.

We support faculty in the use of various teaching and learning applications including:

  > ANGEL (LMS)

  > BCC Lecture Capture

  > Respondus

  > SoftChalk

  > Turnitin

  > WIDS & Performance Based Learning

  > Wimba

  > and much more!

Check out the left sidebar links for more information on the various technologies we support.
