Requesting Temporary Accommodations Related to COVID-19
The Student Access for Improved Learning (SAIL) office is responsible for coordinating the process if an EFSC student qualifies for temporary accommodations due to an impact from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Appropriate accommodations are based on your individual situation. The two situations that could lead to temporary accomodations are: A positive COVID-19 test or you've been required to quarantine due to exposure, symptoms, or other requirements as verified by EFSC’s designated COVID-19 Officer as part of the College's COVID Tracking Process.
How to Request Accommodations
1. Download and complete a SAIL Immediate Temporary Accommodation application — this is a writable/saveable PDF form so you need to save a copy on your computer before filling it out and be sure to save your data in the form. You can simply type your first and last name into the signature field box. You will submit the completed form by logging into the myEFSC Portal and using the Student Document Dropbox process to upload the form to the SAIL Office.
2. If you have checked on the form that you will submit a positive COVID-19 test,
then you must also use the Student Document Dropbox to submit that official test result.
If you checked that you are quarantining as required by EFSC’s designated COVID-19
Office, our office will contact the officer and handle the verification.
3. As soon as you've submitted the Temporary Accommodation Application, you should contact the Access Specialist on your campus to schedule a short interactive intake interview. You can also call or email the specialist if you have questions about this process using the information in the box on this page.
Once the above steps are completed your file will be reviewed by our team; this process can take up to 2 business days. Once your application and documentation are sumbitted through the secure Dropbox, please monitor your Titan student email account for further instructions as that is how we will communicate with you.
